All issues are typeset by computer software, with the exceptions of issues 1 to 6 which were typewritten.Ý From issue 40 onwards, a proportionally spaced font has been used.Ý Issues are A4 sized with the exceptions of issues 7, 8 and 9, which are A5 sized with twice as many pages.Ý From issue 16 onwards, Chartwatch has been a 32 page booklet.Ý With issue 60, Chartwatch became a 28-page, A4-sized booklet, and nearly all back issues are now produced in this format.

Every issue carries an analysis of the previous complete quarters UK record charts in addition to the articles listed below.ð Collectacharts is a four-page, alphabetical listing of all the acts to have charted in the UK, with complete chart runs for every charting single, EP or album.ð Most issues have an editorial and a letters page.
